As a PPW you may need to conduct a residency investigation. Depending on where you live, there are some websites that may be able to assist you in finding out where someone lives or owns property. Your area should have a website that list who pays taxes for a property. Below is the link for the Maryland State assessments and taxation.
If a person goes to court many jurisdictions have the information online and include the persons address and description. This information can assist you in finding the person and where they actually live. Listed is the link for the state of Maryland.
Many counties have a public works website where a water bill or tax bill can be paid online. Because it is public you can use it to find out who owns a particular property. (Example below)
I had a parent turn in a mortgage statement and water bill to enroll her child but the secretary knew they did not live there or own the property. (She lived in the neighborhood) Because I checked to see who owned the property by using these sites I found out that the mortgage statement and water bill were fraudulent.
Once confronted, the parent admitted to enrolling fraudulently and enrolled in the correct school within a different county. She felt that our school was better so she wanted her son to attend.
People post many things on social media. I have been able to find out what type of car someone drives, where people work, what the parents look like and a host of other information to make my residency investigations easier because people post their whole lives on social media. Create accounts for the most popular social media sites so you can use them for residency investigations. Facebook, instagram, etc…. Facebook is the primary social media website that I use to assist me.
Online informational databases
Online databases below can be used to find addresses. Lexis/nexis accurint is the most expensive all the databases listed. Some counties provide it to a certain number of users. Spokeo and the whitepages can also be used and are free or low-cost.
